SPRING BREAK PROGRAMS REGISTER HERE

Art & Heritage, Tuesday March 26, 1:00-3:00pm, Ages 6-12, maximum 12 participants

Start with a behind the scenes tour of the Museum, and then working with inspiration from the Museum Collection & Archives, participants will engage in a fun multi-media art making project.  All materials and supplies will be provided.

Local Landscape, Wednesday March 27, 1:00-3:00pm, Ages 6-12, maximum 12 participants

Sketch inspiration from inside and outside the Museum and learn watercolour paint techniques and paint some local landscapes.  Participants will also have a chance to learn about Sybil Andrews, a notable artist who lived in Campbell River, and view some of her sketches from the Museum Collection.  All materials and supplies will be provided.

Art & Heritage, Thursday March 28, 1:00-3:00pm, Ages 6-12, maximum 12 participants

Eco Detectives, Friday March 29, 1:00-3:00pm, Ages 6-12, maximum 12 participants

Go on a hunt with your field journal and find fun facts in the Museum’s Native Plant Garden, and learn about famous Campbell River conservationist Roderick Haig-Brown.  Create a bug craft and plant mono prints.  All materials and supplies will be provided.
