September 28 to November 1 join us for the CR Trivia Trek!
Do you love getting out to explore your community? Do you love being able to impress your friends and relatives with your knowledge of local trivia? Well, have we got a contest for you! The Museum at Campbell River proudly presents Trivia Trek! A self-guided exploration of Campbell River to discover quirky facts from our past. It isn’t just fun to do, there are prizes too! Each week a different set of questions will encourage you to explore a different area of Campbell River, giving you five opportunities to enter into the draw for a grand prize! You can submit your entries as an individual, a family or a team.
Each week we will release a set of questions and an accompanying map of a region in Campbell River highlighting the locations of the “Our History” signs that hold many of the solutions to the Trivia Trek questions. In addition to the signs scattered throughout the community, clues can also be found in the Museum’s temporary gallery, where the exhibit “Snapshots of Campbell River” features a fact filled timeline of our local history. Print off and bring your weekly set of questions to get free admission to the Museum to explore both the Campbell River timeline, and the permanent exhibits.
At no cost, it’s a great activity for families and those learning from home, friends looking for a group activity with safe social distancing in mind, and for individuals looking to stretch their legs while learning something new. The contest, which begins on September 28th, runs until November 9th, so you have lots of time to get out and explore this fall!
Completed trivia entries can be submitted to the Museum either by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or in person. We hope to see you out there!
