Dinosaurs of BC Traveling Exhibit in Campbell River

Opens February 8. Dinosaurs of BC, a travelling exhibit produced by the Royal BC Museum, runs February 8 to June 2 at the Museum at Campbell River.

Dig into prehistoric British Columbia and get up close and personal with “Buster”, the Iron Lizard of the Sustut River, and the other dinosaurs that once roamed the province’s highest peaks, densest forests and most remote river basins. Through research done by the Royal BC Museum’s palaeontology team, we’re learning just how many ancient creatures once called these lands home.

Follow the footsteps of tyrannosaurs and ankylosaurs, see beautifully preserved marine fossils and meet the BC-born and bred Buster, our reigning resident ferrisaurus.

Dinosaurs of BC initially debuted at the Royal BC Museum in 2023 and was met with an overwhelmingly positive public response.

A variety of educational programming will be available around Dinosaurs of BC, including school programs and public lectures. See this space for more details.

Museum at Campbell River respectfully acknowledges the Liǧʷiɫdax̌ʷ First Nation, on whose traditional lands we work to preserve, interpret and share the collective human history of North Vancouver Island. The Liǧʷiɫdax̌ʷ First Nation is comprised of the We Wai Kai, Wei Wai Kum and Kwiakah First Nations. Our closest neighbors are the Coast Salish Xwemalhkwu, Klahoose and K’ómoks First Nations.

These nations have close connections to the land where Campbell River is located today.
