Kids Day at the Museum

2026 Kids Day at Museum

Kids Day at the Museum, on Wednesday July 15 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, is a free family event held at the Museum filled with fun, games, and multiple hands-on activity stations both inside and outside the Museum. It’s an adventure for the whole family with free admission and all sorts of active stuff for kids to do. We encourage families to bring a lunch and have a picnic on the grounds of the Museum. Spend the day with us!

We also have other fun kids activities for the summer with:

  • Puppet Theatre every Tuesday & Thursday at 11:00 am and 2:00 pm. $3 for ages 3+.
  • Making Magic Kids Camp from July 27 to 31. Learn more
  • Teddy Bear Picnic at Haig-Brown House on August 12 from 11am to 1pm. Bring a lunch, bring a furry friend and enjoy an picnic on the grounds of the Haig-Brown House. Free event!

Museum at Campbell River respectfully acknowledges the Liǧʷiɫdax̌ʷ First Nation, on whose traditional lands we work to preserve, interpret and share the collective human history of North Vancouver Island. The Liǧʷiɫdax̌ʷ First Nation is comprised of the We Wai Kai, Wei Wai Kum and Kwiakah First Nations. Our closest neighbors are the Coast Salish Xwemalhkwu, Klahoose and K’ómoks First Nations.

These nations have close connections to the land where Campbell River is located today.
