Festival of Trees

The Annual Festival of Trees at the Museum at Campbell River is an event where the community comes together to create something magical!

Each year businesses, organizations and individuals come forward to sponsor trees. Together, when they are all decorated, the Changing Gallery at the Museum is transformed into a winter wonderland.

Visit the Festival during our open hours to leave a note on the gratitude tree, vote for your favourite for the People’s Choice Award, take some photos and just relax in the gentle glow of the twinkling lights.

Admission is free. For 2021 the Festival of Tree is open Dec 4 – 30, Tuesday-Sunday 10am to 5pm.  It is closed Christmas Day and Boxing Day, and closes at noon on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.

Historic Boat Tours

The Museum at Campbell River will once again offer its summer historic boat tours in partnership with Campbell River Whale Watching and Adventure Tours.  Each trip explores the history of the region from the comfort of their boats that includes both indoor and outdoor seating areas, and an on board washroom.  As well as an experienced Captain, there is an on board naturalist who is constantly on the lookout for wildlife to point out, and a Museum Guide to share historic points of interest.
